Report—Supertanker damaged coral reefs

An underwater environmental assessment report, which was released yesterday from the Ministry of Environment, has revealed that the Shell F-class supertanker “The Ficus” — which struck a reef and ran aground earlier this year — left some coral reefs either dead or damaged and caused scarring to the sea floor.
